Vinyasa and Hatha yoga share many of the same poses, while each have their distinct focus and pacing. Vinyasa flows from one pose directly into the next at a faster pace. Hatha is a slower flow with poses held with conscience controlled breathing and posture. Both are designed to build strength, flexibility and restore balance and soothe the nervous system.
Restorative yoga encourages physical, mental and emotional relaxation through passive, receptive and mainly still postures with supports of props. We learn to allow our body and mind to purposefully relax all muscular effort and stimulate the relaxation response.
